Miss Matt's Class Constitution!!!

This week we have been learning about our local, state, and federal government which includes the US Constitution.

To help the students understand the US Constitution, we created a class Constitution.

What can you make with a cup, piece of string, paperclip, sponge, and water?

This is what the 2nd Graders came up with...

DUCKS!!!!

Still don't believe it...hear for yourself!!

Yes...You heard that right...a DUCK!!!

So, how is this possible????

To make the sound you can use a damp sponge folded in half. Clamp it together around the string and slide it down the string. The cup acts like a megaphone echoing the sound. To make the quack louder you add more pressure when gripping the sponge. To make the sound softer, loosen your grip on the string.

We found that you can also lick two of your fingers and pull down on the string with quick bursts of force and it will also sound like a duck.

I apologize in advance for the new noise added to your home! =)
